A seasoned business owner with over nine years of business management and development experience, Ms. Nelson is responsible for the direction and development of Ruby Receptionists. A pioneer in the virtual receptionist industry, she has developed tools to help today's remote receptionist provide unmatched service. Prior to her association with Ruby Receptionists, Ms. Nelson served as a principal of the Marlin Group, Inc., a Portland, Oregon mergers and acquisitions firm, involved with business sales, acquisitions, and valuations of technology and business service companies. She holds her bachelor's degree in accounting from the University of Oregon.
Tom Levitt is a seasoned corporate executive and successful entrepreneur with over 20 years experience. Highly accomplished in a variety of industries, Mr. Levitt is founder/former CEO of one of the nation's leading furniture rental companies and has served as president of its national trade association. He is also co-founder/former CEO of the Phoenix franchise of HQ Business Centers, the largest operator of executive suites and serviced offices in the world. Captivated with Ruby's progressive concept and potential, Mr. Levitt joined our executive team as Chairman of the Board in October 2004, contributing his strong business sense and expertise.
Mr. Nelson brings to WorkSource over 20 years of experience in the computer networking and telecommunications industry. For Ruby Receptionists, he was responsible for implementing one of the industry's first computer/telephone interfaces based on web/.net technology. As network architect, he ensures the security and reliability of the Ruby Receptionists network. Mr. Nelson is employed full time with Nortel Networks as a Systems Engineering District Manager.
